From getting your license to ensuring your baby is safely seated.

We have information for you.

Get a Learner's Permit

Once you're 15.5 years old, go to your local DMV and complete the vision and knowledge test.

 

Once passed, apply for a Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card

You must be accompanied by a licensed parent, guardian or certified driving instructor.

 

If you are 16, you can drive with any adult 21 or older.

Under 18 you must complete:

24hr of in class driver's education

8hr of driving training with a certified driving instructor 

50hr of driving practice with a licensed adult 21+, 10 hours of which must be at night.

Once you meet all the requirements, schedule your driving test at your nearest Ohio BMV location with a Driver Examination Station or schedule online at OhioDrivingTest.com

Bring required documents and money for fees.
